The first Utah Karate Institute school
in Utah opened in 1986. Since that time, our Karate
Shin-Toshi schools have constantly improved and expanded
and are still continuing in that process today. Our
vow is to provide a quality martial arts education to
every new student and to help them complete
the goal of becoming a Shin-Toshi Karate Black Belt!
Utah Karate Institute
is dedicated to developing the person as a whole. We
firmly believe that learning kicking and punching is
a byproduct of a martial arts education. The character
development that occurs when learning martial arts is
amazing and surpasses the expectations of most of us.
Some students have the ability to perform high flying
kicks, others outstanding forms, and still others possess
great leadership skills. But most importantly, through
the practice of martial arts we have the chance to grow
in maturity, empathy, and share the important essence
of life -- LOVE and working together as a family.
